Heavily influenced by her education in the fine arts, Julie is passionate about creative problem solving. Through her background in painting, she has achieved a high level of understanding the practical and imaginative solutions needed in landscape architecture. She loves projects that require both research and creativity, and allow clients to think outside the box.
In addition to her work at Hoerr Schaudt, Julie teaches Planting Design at the Chicago Botanic Garden’s Regenstein School. A native of Illinois, she ventured to the west coast to pursue a Masters of Fine Arts at Claremont Graduate University, returning to earn her Masters in Landscape Architecture from the University of Illinois.
