As a senior associate for Hoerr Schaudt, Marisa is a seasoned project manager with an industry duality, which allows her to bridge the gap between the design and construction administration studios. She received her Bachelor of Landscape Architecture from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. While she always knew she wanted to be a designer, Marisa was drawn to the landscape architecture discipline by its broadness of scope. She was particularly inspired by the history of Central Park, and how it was artfully designed to mask its landfill identity.
Marisa most enjoys projects that involve the collaboration of multiple design disciplines, such as athletic fields, green roofs, and marinas. She finds that creative design solutions can come from surprising places when they are not rooted in a single discipline. When she’s not working, Marisa is playing softball, exploring history museums and zoos with her children, watching professional wrestling, or baking.
