Years of digging, planting, watering and harvesting vegetables in his father’s garden sparked Patrick’s love of the earth. Before long, he left his Illinois hometown to see more of it. Rambles throughout the world opened his eyes to diverse natural and designed landscapes that he still finds inspiring. If he’s not outside running, he’ll be serving up his favorite dish fresh from the garden: roasted Brussels sprouts with shallots and prosciutto.
