Qing Li brings an enthusiastic artistry to every project she takes on. With a passion for painting and photography, landscape design is a natural fit for her creative eye. Qing loves exploring undeveloped and underutilized spaces in cities, and envisioning how these spaces can transform into a shared public space. It’s the reason she became a landscape designer: Qing believes in bringing humanity and care into cities by shaping the spatial experience into poetic urban spaces.
Qing received her bachelor’s degree in Art and Design from Beijing University of Technology, and went on to earn her Master’s Degree in Landscape Architecture at the Rhode Island School of Design. In her spare time, she likes to enjoy the many walkable areas of Kansas City, taking in the Nelson-Atkins Museum of Art and the River Market’s Fresh Market Street Car — she’s a self-proclaimed foodie, for sure. Qing also makes time to paint, especially oil paintings of figures, textures, and abstract art.
