A Chicago-area native, Ryan has taken full advantage of opportunities to visit and study the intersection between the city’s lively art, architecture, and culture. From a young age, he would hop onto the CTA and visit the museums downtown, which cemented his appreciation of the Art Institute, the Cultural Center, and the Museum of Contemporary Art. While he graduated from Tulane University with a Master of Architecture, Ryan has been continuously interested in how a site can blend in with its accompanying building, along with being driver of design decisions. He aspires to create accessible and holistic spaces while merging his knowledge in natural and built environments.
Ryan most enjoys projects that promote resilience throughout urban areas, specifically in creating accessible, sustainable, and equitable cities. His experiences throughout college and his professional career have created a deep appreciation for public projects, since the users are extremely diverse, and the range of feedback can be humbling and highly rewarding. When he’s not in the office, you can find Ryan bike riding, hiking, or formwork casting.
