Seeing landscape architecture as the medium between humans and nature and landscape architects as the translators, Xiaocun is inspired by the opportunity her profession gives her to infuse beauty into the world. A frequent speaker and avid researcher, she is passionate about both public and private projects and enjoys each new challenge that comes her way.
As a relative newcomer to Chicago, Xiaocun looks forward to exploring the city in all its different seasons. In her spare time, she enjoys reading detective novels and traveling to places where she tries her best to “live like a local” and absorb the local culture. Xiaocun earned a Bachlor’s of Landscape Gardening from the Beijing Forestry University and a Master’s of Landscape Architecture from the University of Illinois at Champaign-Urbana.
