Crate & Barrel Michigan Avenue: Flower Fame
We love urban horticulture fans! This week we got a call from Kate who wanted an ID on one of the bulbs in the parkway planter in front of the Crate and Barrel Michigan Avenue store. We have been designing them since 1993 and they are different every year.
She didn’t have a picture but she did say, “It looks like a clump of upside-down daffodils!” And really, what more do you need than that description? Anyone want to guess what this beauty is?
The best part of the call, though, was when Kate said, “I go out of my way to drive down Michigan Avenue because of the plantings; I could go another route, but I want to see the displays!”
The multi-talented Steve Gierke from our office snapped all these photos. Have you been to to the Crate and Barrel Michigan Avenue store this year? We’d love to see any photos YOU may have taken! Shoot as an e-mail or leave a comment if you’d like to share!
