August 31, 2015 - We are pleased to announce the promotions of Nicholas Fobes to Principal and Michael Skowlund to Associate Principal.

Nicholas and Michael both play a crucial role in the vision and vitality of Hoerr Schaudt, and we are excited to recognize their accomplishments, dedication and pursuit of design excellence to our clients and with our firm.

As Principal, Nick will lead complex projects through each phase of the design process, from concept and budgeting to coordinating the design team and consultants. Deeply inspired by the process and creating order out of chaos, he thrives on seeing a project through from beginning to end and experiencing that journey alongside the client. Since joining Hoerr Schaudt in 2008, Nick has led significant projects at the firm, including the Greater Des Moines Botanical Garden, World Food Prize Foundation Garden, a 60-acre residential property in Rhode Island, and a 16-acre landscape restoration at a historic residence by Howard van Doren Shaw. Nick holds a BA in Landscape Architecture from the University of Wisconsin Madison.
