Hoerr Schaudt Featured in luxe Interiors + Design Magazine
We are pleased to announce our recent feature article in luxe Interiors + Design magazine. The article profiles a home located along Chicago’s North Shore, rebuilt by the property’s ‘empty-nester’ owners. In search of sleek lines and modern living – but wishing to remain on the site – an aesthetic informed by the surrounding landscape was used throughout every aspect of the project.
Our team took special care to preserve the large trees on the site. Plantings were chosen that provide both privacy and a seasonally dynamic surrounding for the home. A woodland garden within the couple’s courtyard includes rhododendron, boxwood, and other evergreens. The Midwest vernacular landscape ties seamlessly with the Japanese-inspired architecture of the home, making this an exceptionally distinctive project.
