Hoerr Schaudt Named to Northwest Arkansas Design Excellence Program
We are very excited to announce that Hoerr Schaudt has been selected as a new member of the Northwest Arkansas Design Excellence Program. Hoerr Schaudt joins the program as a shortlisted company for future community improvement initiatives within northwest Arkansas.
The Northwest Arkansas Design Excellence Program was created in 2015, and serves the communities in Arkansas’s Benton and Washington counties. The program began out of a desire to invest in the communities surrounding the Walton Family Foundation headquarters, and aims to strengthen public life, celebrate local cultures and place, elevate standards of sustainability and resilience, and build regional capacity.
The Northwest Arkansas Design Excellence Program comes at a crucial time for the region—over the past 25 years, the population has more than doubled, creating great opportunities for infrastructure growth and development. Recent projects include the Memorial Park in Siloam Springs, a 5 acre park with a splash pad, amphitheater, and a new farmers market venue; the Rogers Historical Museum, an adaptive redevelopment; and the Helen Walton Children’s Enrichment Center, which increases access to quality childcare and education. The program also expects completion on several projects this summer, including part of Thaden School’s campus in Bentonville, as well as TheatreSquared, a new 51,500 square-foot building in downtown Fayetteville, Arkansas.
As a member of the Northwest Arkansas Design Excellence Program, Hoerr Schaudt will be shortlisted for projects undertaken by the program. We are thrilled to join the other excellent design firms in the program, and are honored to be included in such an important and transformative initiative.
